The "Gonzalo de Cárdenas" Chair on Vernacular Architecture (Cátedra Gonzalo de Cárdenas de Arquitectura Vernácula) is based in Old Havana, Cuba, and it is and institution adscribed to the City Historian Office of Havana (Oficina del Historiador de la Ciudad). Its mission is to promote the knowledge and values on vernacular architecture.
After several years of collaborating with the Chair, the Distinguished Membership was granted with the approval of Chair president Dr. Javier de Cárdenas y Chavarri, and coordinator, Dr. Daniel Taboada Espiniella. See membership certificate
